No two law finance transactions are the same

Claim Sectors

The financial needs of law firms and claim owners are the focus of Juridica’s business model and form the core of Juridica’s engagements.  Juridica does not arrange finance for personal injury claims or for mass tort claims, except in special circumstances.  Juridica’s expertise lies in commercial and business claims, including for example:

Intellectual Property:  Including patent, trademark and copyright infringement, licensing and enforcement activities.  In some instances, Juridica will arrange investments in the underlying intellectual property rights themselves and work with patent owners to optimize the revenues from their property.

Commercial Insurance and Subrogation:  Including first-party insurance and reinsurance claims, complex multi-carrier coverage disputes and bad faith claims.

Antitrust and Competition Law:  Including class action and opt-out claims by businesses in the US and in Europe.

Contracts:  Juridica can arrange financing for various commercial and contract disputes, ranging from defaulted debt collection to disputes involving distribution agreements, joint venture agreements and investment contracts.

Bankruptcy and Insolvency:  Including commercial claims held by trustees and liquidators.

Securities and Finance:  Including shareholder disputes and securities class action disputes in certain jurisdictions outside the United States.

Environmental:  Juridica can arrange financing for environmental claims, including claims for clean up and indemnification.

Arbitration:  Juridica can arrange financing for both domestic and international commercial arbitrations, including treaty-based arbitration of expropriation claims against sovereigns.
